介绍了管坯用易钻孔ASTM4140钢的生产实践.采用42CrMo废钢和w(P)≤0.15%、w(S)≤0.40%铁水,控制终渣碱度在3.5~4.5进行电炉冶炼,精炼控制白渣时间≥55 min,通过长时间保持真空以及破空后充分软吹降低产生大量氧化夹杂的可能性,退火后进行感应淬火加高温回火.通过对生产工艺的控制,电炉平均终点C、P成分和温度波动较小,VD炉抽真空后钢液中气体含量极低,钢水纯净度高,低倍检验结果均为中心疏松1级、一般疏松1级,无皮下气泡及皮下裂纹,退火后钢材880 ℃感应淬火加680 ℃高温回火下性能优良,横截面洛氏硬度23~30 HRC,心部硬度23~25 HRC,符合设计预期.
Production practice of drillable ASTM4140 steel for tube blank
To introduce production practice of drillable ASTM4140 steel for tube blank.Using 42CrMo scrap steel and w(P)≤0.15%,w(S)≤0.40%molten iron,final slag alkalinity is controlled 3.5~4.5 for electric furnace smelting,re-fining control white slag time no less than 55 min,by maintaining vacuum for long time and fully soft blowing after breaking air to reduce possibility of producing large number of oxidizing inclinations,induction quenching and high temperature tem-pering process after annealing is carried out.Through production process control,average end point of electric furnace C,P composition and temperature fluctuations are small,gas content in liquid steel after VD furnace vacuum is very low,purity of molten steel is high,low power test results are central loose grade one,general loose grade one,no subdermic bubbles and cracks,after annealing steel under 880 ℃ induction quenching and 680 ℃ tempering performance is excellent.The o-verall Rockwell hardness of cross section is 23~30 HRC,hardness of center is 23~25 HRC,which is in line with design expectation.
