The mooring process of a 20 000 t on self-propelled transshipment barge is studied,focusing on mooring safety,oper-ation time,and the impact of draft changes,and waves and surges on ship loading/unloading operations.Based on the configu-ration of port facilities and the characteristics of ship barge transportation,most suitable port facilities are designed including an automatic cable tension control system,automatic mooring piles,board side protection devices and control systems,and a cen-tralized mooring winch remote control system.
