The Coupling of Intellectual Norms and Social Constructs of the Disciplinary System in China
Discipline system is the necessary precondition for discipline construction.In the discourse en-vironment of discipline construction in China,the discipline system can be regarded as an internal standardized knowledge system and an external legalized establishment system.From the level of knowledge norms,the disci-pline system is a constructed product of the evolution of knowledge production;from the level of social establish-ment of the discipline system,the discipline system is largely generated from the rational choice in the policy field,which is also the same as that in the theory of institutional genesis.This is also in line with the theory of in-stitutional genesis,which states that"the system arises from the dual path of spontaneous evolution and rational creation".Therefore,in the process of constructing the disciplinary system,it is necessary to further smooth out the relationship between the two levels of disciplinary system,emphasizing not only the intellectual construction at the knowledge and theory level,but also the organizational establishment at the practice and policy level,and seeking a balance between the academic community and the community of interest in order to maximize the sys-tem's identity.
