Alumni Participation in University Governance:Action Logic and Implemen-tation Path
Driven by the impact of national policy advocacy,the demand for high-level university construc-tion and alumni's needs for self-fulfillment,alumni have played an increasingly important role in university governance in the areas of democratic management,talent cultivation,specialty construction,academic re-search,and cultivation by culture.Such engagement is reflected in the logic of practice as a move towards"co-realization"in shared governance,which is an effective action based on the objectives of governance.In the practice of governance,because alumni engagement in university governance is faced with ideological dilem-ma,action dilemma and insufficient guarantee,there is an urgent need to focus on"interaction mobilization","organizational mobilization"and"scientific mobilization"to strengthen the mobilization mechanism,to focus on"democratic governance","comprehensive governance"and"innovative governance"to enhance the effec-tiveness of internal governance,to focus on"win-win cooperation","resource sharing"and"responsibility shar-ing"to expand the effectiveness of eternal governance,to delineate the"boundaries of rights and responsibili-ties"and concentrate on"co-creation and sharing"to construct a healthy relationship between alumni and the university.The effective action of alumni engagement in university governance in the new era is able to assist the university's high-quality and connotative development.
