Effect of geopolymer on mechanical properties of aeolian sand gravel mixture
In order to realize the application of geopolymer cementitious materials in highway base, the effects of different ratios on the mechanical properties of geopolymer stabilized aeolian sand and gravel mixture were studied.Orthogonal experiments were used to study the mass ratio of steel slag powder to fly ash 2∶8,3∶7,4∶6,alkali content 6%,8%,10%,and alkali activator modulus 1,1.2,1.4.The effects of compressive strength and splitting strength of aeolian sand and gravel mixture were studied, and the influence of various factors on the strength of aeolian sand and gravel mixture was clarified by range analysis. The results show that the mass ratio of steel slag powder to fly ash has the greatest influence on the strength of the mixture, followed by alkali content, and the modulus of alkali activator is the smallest. When the mass ratio of steel slag powder to fly ash is 3∶7,the alkali content is 8%,and the modulus of alkali activator is 1.4,the mechanical properties of the mixture are the best. The compressive strength of the mixture at 7d and 28d ages reaches 1.89 MPa and 4.89 MPa,and the splitting strength reaches 0.43 MPa and 0.85 MPa,which can be used as cement instead of cementitious materials applied to highway grassroots construction.
