Study on the Properties of Plaster Tile Backing Modified by Limestone Powder
This study investigated the impact of limestone powder content on the tensile bond strength of paste ceramic tile backing adhesive under standard curing conditions of 7 days,28 days,water immersion,freeze-thaw,and thermal aging.The findings reveal a significant improvement in the tensile bond strength of LP40 under thermal aging.After 7 days,the tensile bond strength of LP40 is 50%higher than that of LP0,effectively enhancing the early bond strength of the paste tile backing.XRD and SEM analyses indicate that limestone powder can fill the interfacial mortar pores,expedite the hydration of cement mortar,and promote a closer interface bond between the ceramic tile and mortar.
