X-type Structure Initiator for the Modification of Photovoltaic Functional Nanoparticles
An X-type ATRP initiator based on L-glutamic acid, featuring dual initiation and coordination sites, has been designed and synthesized. This unique structure allows simultaneous growth of two polymer chains and efficient anchoring to functional nanoparticles. The resulting polymers are ideal for modifying inorganic optoelectronic nanoparticles like cadmium selenide and inorganic perovskites. These modifications enhance polymer grafting density and improve nanoparticle dispersion in the polymer matrix, potentially boosting the performance of nanocomposites in various applications.
