Rail Wear Characteristics of Small Curve Section in Modern Tram
Modern tram line conditions are affected by road conditions,more small curve sections,and intersection leveling section mixed with social vehicles,so the wheel rail wear phenomenon is serious.In order to enhance the life of tram rails and reduce the frequency of rail maintenance during the operation stage,the current situation of abnormal rail wear of the operated tram lines,the distribution law and the line characteristics of typical wear sections are analyzed by means of on-site investigation,comparative analysis and instrumental testing.During the measurement,it is found that part of the track inner and outer strand rail tread has deviated from the original contour,relying on the rigid guiding effect of the outer strand,and the excessive lateral force leads to serious lateral wear of the outer strand of the curve.And the main wear type of small curve section below 400 m radius is regular wave wear,which belongs to typical"responsive"wave wear and is in line with the characteristics of light-load operation of streetcars.
