Development Model of Appointment-based School Bus Service
During the morning and evening rush hours, traffic congestion around primary and secondary schools has been a common problem in many cities in China. How to improve the traffic environment through an intensified public transportation mode has become particularly important.Taking Suzhou Jingcheng School as a case study,a development model is proposed for appointment-based school bus service. The model utilizes the k-means clustering algorithm for station planning and the Dijkstra algorithm for route planning. It systematically designs the pre-launch,mid-term,and post-launch processes,as well as multi-party collaboration for appointment-based school bus service.A quantitative analysis of the implementation of this model demonstrates its effectiveness in alleviating traffic congestion, optimizing resource allocation, ensuring travel safety, and reducing parental transportation pressure.
