Integrated Design of Guiding Signs of Urban Rail Transit and Intercity Railway
Guiding signs play a crucial role in urban rail transit and intercity railways, providing clear, accurate, and coherent information guidance to help the public quickly and smoothly reach their destination. There are significant differences in the usage scenarios and scope, information content and focus, design style and visual effects of directional signs for urban rail transit and intercity railways. If the two establish a transfer relationship at the same station or hub,the two incompatible directional signs will inevitably be difficult to connect or even conflict.By comparing and analyzing the passenger flow lines of urban rail transit and intercity railways, this paper classifies directional signs based on integrated design, and proposes integrated design ideas for directional signs from aspects such as unified basic framework, flexible response to differences, strengthened transfer design, consideration of public needs, and emphasis on environmental coordination,in order to provide coherent, efficient, and convenient travel guidance for the public.
