The pathogen causing Pestalotiopsis twig dieback of blueberry
A disease of twig dieback was frequently found on Vaccinium corymbosum (blueberry) in Shandong Province in recent years.Through the test of pathogen tissue isolation two pathogenic isolates were finally obtained.Based on morphological characteristics and rDNA-ITS sequence analysis the isolates were identified as Pestalotiopsis clavispora.It is the first report of the pathogen responsible for blueberry twig dieback in China.
