Effects of single and mixed metal ions on laccase activities of Pleurotus ostreatus CY 568 in submerged fermentation
The effects of single and mixed Cu2+,Fe2+ and Mn2+ on the activities of laccase secreted by Pleurotus ostreatus CY 568 were investigated. The results showed that single and mixed metal ions had significant effects on laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568(P<0.001).The presence of Cu2+ or Mn2+,especially Cu2+,was helpful for improving laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568.Stable high laccase activity was maintained in medium with Cu2+.Compared with the basal medium, the medium with the mixture of metal ions could enhance the laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568,and the maximum laccase activity reached(22 622.22±142.97)U/L after fermentation on a medium mixed with Cu2+ and Mn2+(MMCM)for 18 days. The maximum laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568 in the medium containing Cu2+ was higher than that in the medium without Cu2+,indicating that Cu2+ contributed to the improvement of the laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568.Laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568 fermented in medium with single Fe2+ was lower than that in basal medium, indicating that Fe2+ could inhibit the laccase activity of P.ostreatus CY 568.
