Monitoring of Alternaria alternata Fungicide Resistance to Mefentrifluconazole from Panax ginseng
In order to clasify the drug resistance of Alternaria alternata distributing within different regions(Baishan,Dunhua,Tonghua,Jilin, and Changchun)of Jilin Province, its sensitivity to mefentrifluconazole was investigated through the determination of mycelial growth rate, and a sensitive baseline of A.alternata to mefentrifluconazole was successfully established at the present study.According to the grading standards of fungicide-resistance,furthereomre,evaluation of resistance ability(or sensitivity)was conducted. The results showed that mefentrifluconazole efficiently inhibits the activity of A.alternata isolates in vitro. The sensitivity frequence of mefentrifluconazole against mycelial growth detected from all of 108 isolates was confirmed statistically to show a normal distribution,in which the average EC50 value(0.975 5±1.183 5 μg/mL)could be used as a sensitive baseline of A.alternate to the mefentrifluconazole. It was found that A.alternata populations currently present in Jilin Province carried a low level of drug resistance to mefentrifluconazole. The results obtained from this study provide an important foundation for the risk assessment of A.alternata resistance to mefentrifluoconazole.
