Ancient poetry plays a very important role in the teaching of higher vocational Chinese,and learning ancient poetry and literature well can help students understand the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation,improve students'aesthetic ability,emotional experience and comprehensive quality,and also help to cultivate students into comprehensive talents.However,due to factors such as cultural foundation and learning ability,students have difficulty learning ancient poetry and literature.Therefore,this paper introduces the definition of group reading teaching,points out the basis for the teaching of ancient poetry and literature in higher vocational language,and puts forward the reading strategy of ancient poetry and literature in higher vocational language.
