A Brief Analysis to the Reasons of Discourse Coherence
By discussing about the different research perspectives on discourse coherence, this thesis points out that few articles have touched the topic of reasons of it. It mainly explains the reasons for coherence from the following three aspects ： comprehensive thinking pattern, essence of language and cooperative principle. At last, it is concluded that discourse coherence can also be studied from other perspectives, such as principle of economy, human being＇ s cognitive law and cognitive ability limit.
