A Comparative Study of the Pragmatic Functions of Chinese-Korean Typical Discourse Markers——A Case Study of Attention-Raising Discourse Markers
A certain language form has the function of discourse marker by adding procedural meaning to the original meaning from the general property through the process of grammaticalization.Typical discourse markers have a high degree of grammaticalization,and the procedural meaning of each discourse marker is dominant com-pared with its original meaning.Therefore,the expressions of typical discourse markers belonging to different language families differ greatly in Chinese and Korean.In this study,taking attention-grabbing discourse mark-ers as example,the pragmatic functions of typical discourse markers in Chinese and Korean are analyzed cross-linguistically from the perspective of language cognition based on the association theory,so as to examine their similarities and differences.It aims to make up for the insufficiency of cross-linguistic researches on discourse markers from the perspective of broad genre,to deepen the understanding of typical discourse markers,and to contribute to the researches on language teaching and acquisition.
