Modal Analysis of Non-Circular Gear Pairs of Pulsating Blood Flow
In order to further prove the structural performance of the novel pulsating blood flow generators driven by non-circular gears,modal analysis of the non-circular gears of the pulsating blood flow generators de-signed by the research group was carried out.The 3D solid model of non circular gear pairs were obtained by u-sing the developed visual design platform and Solid Works 3D modeling software;on the basis of studying the theory of gear modal vibration,first 6 natural frequencies and modal shapes of the driving and driven non circular gears was obtained by COMSOL.The results showed that operating frequency of pulsating blood flow generator was much lower than the natural frequency of non circular gear pairs,therefore,the noval pulsatile blood flow generator driving mechanism designed by the research group was not experiencing resonance phenomenon during normal operation;natural frequencies of non circular gears were increased positively with the increase of order.A theoretical basis for the subsequent trial production and optimization of the pulsatile blood flow generator proto-type was provided by the above conclusion.
