Performance Study of Multi-channel Ultrasonic Flowmeter in Complex Installation Environment
This paper utilizes theoretical analysis, simulation calculations and experimental verification methods to conduct a comprehensive study on the superiority of multi-channel ultrasonic flowmeter relative to single channel.Complex installation environment will have an important impact on the accuracy of single-channel ultrasonic flowmeter. When the single-path flowmeter is equipped with the same orientation elbow structure in the upstream and downstream respectively,it has an error range of-3%~-5%;in this case, the utilization of double-section four-path measurements reduces or even eliminates the influence of reverse symmetric vortices and cross-flow flowing through the elbows, and can compensate for the velocity offset of the inner and outer sides of the elbows, with the error remaining near±1%.The simulation calculation and the test data get a good agreement, which provides a theoretical basis for guiding the adaptation of ultrasonic flow meter in engineering applications.
