Analysis on Strength Influencing Factors of the Connecting Bolts between Wind Turbine Hub and Spindle
Based on the basic theory of VDI2230,the ultimate strength and fatigue performance of hub-shaft connection bolts are studied from three aspects:bolt stiffness, bolt group parameters, and clamp structure. The mechanical properties of bolts under different specifications, pitch circles, edge distances, and other working conditions are simulated using the finite element calculation software. The results indicate that increasing the bolt size can improve ultimate strength but cannot improve the fatigue strength of common bolts.Under the same conditions of reducing, increasing the bolt size can improve fatigue performance.Increasing the number of bolts and pitch diameter can both improve the ultimate strength of the hub spindle connection bolts. The clamping component structure has a significant impact on the fatigue damage value of bolts, and increasing the edge distance of the hub shaft connection bolt can significantly improve the fatigue performance of the bolt.
