Study on the Microstructure and Properties of 15CrNiMo Tooth Claw Steel by Carburizing Heat Treatment
In order to make the performance of the tricone bit meet the strict requirements in oilfield and mine drilling projects, this paper investigates the organization, carbon content and hardness parameters of 15CrNiMo the steel used for the tooth claw of the tricone bit, after carburizing heat treatment. The results show that after surface carburizing, the surface structure of 15CrNiMo is mainly acicular martensite and residual austenite, the transition layer is mainly acicular martensite and lath martensite, and the core is mainly lath martensite and ferrite. From the surface to the heart, the carbon content decreases from 0.663%to 0.18%.From the surface of 15CrNiMo carburizing steel to the core, the microhardness increases first and then decreases. The surface hardness is about 60 HRC.The maximum hardness is obtained from 0.5 mm away from the surface,is about 60.94 HRC.The minimum hardness of the core is about 26 HRC.
