激光辅助CBN砂带磨削TC4钛合金材料去除行为及表面完整性研究

摘要
激光辅助CBN砂带磨削工艺结合了激光对材料的软化改性以及砂带磨削的高效材料去除和高表面完整性,可以实现对高强韧TC4钛合金的低损伤高性能加工.通过激光辅助CBN砂带磨削TC4钛合金实验,研究了激光功率对磨削力、材料去除行为和表面完整性的影响规律.结果表明:增大激光功率可以提高材料软化改性程度,降低磨削力及其波动振幅,激光功率最大时法向磨削力降低57.2%,切向磨削力降低68.7%;随着材料软化程度的提高,材料去除行为发生了从韧性去除向塑性去除的转变,表面的韧性撕裂和磨削损伤减弱,表面质量、表面一致性和表面残余压应力提高,激光功率最大时表面粗糙度达Ra1.23μm,表面残余压应力达94.6 MPa;激光辅助CBN砂带磨削表面渗入了大量的N和O元素,表面的Ti元素以TiN和TiO2和金属Ti三种状态存在,引入的N和O元素将提高表面的耐磨和耐腐蚀性能.希望本研究能为激光辅助加工钛合金等难加工材料的去除行为及表面完整性研究提供借鉴.
Abstract
The laser-assisted CBN belt grinding process combines the softening modification of the material by the laser with the efficient material removal and high surface integrity of belt grinding to achieve high-performance machining of high-tenacity TC4 titanium alloys with low damage.Laser-assisted CBN belt grinding of TC4 titanium alloy is investigated to determine the effect of laser power on grinding force,material removal behavior,and surface integrity.The results show that increasing the laser power can increase the degree of material softening modification and reduce the grinding force and its fluctuation amplitude,with a 57.2%reduction in normal grinding force and a 68.7%reduction in tangential grinding force at the maximum laser power.As the degree of material softening increases,the material removal behavior changes from ductile removal to plastic removal,the ductile tearing and grinding damage on the surface is reduced,and the surface quality,surface consistency,and residual compressive stress on the surface are improved.The surface roughness reached Ra 1.23 μm at maximum laser power,and the surface residual compressive stress reached 94.6 MPa.The laser-assisted CBN abrasive belt grinding surface was infiltrated with a large amount of N and O elements,and the Ti elements on the surface existed in three states:TiN,TiO2,and metallic Ti.The introduced N and O elements may improve the wear and corrosion resistance of the surface.It is hoped that this study will provide input to the study of the removal behavior and surface integrity of difficult-to-machine materials such as titanium alloys by laser-assisted machining.
