Lightweight Design of Mining Belt Conveyor Drive Roller and Its Application
Taking the DTL160/330/3 × 1 600 belt conveyor as the research object,based on the overview of the conveyor and the drive roller,the finite element model of the roller was established and its stress and deformation were analysed by using UG and ANSYS software.The maximum stress and deformation were found to be 133.64 MPa and 3.823 7 mm,respectively,with obvious redundancy problems in strength and stiffness.The lightweight design of the support ring,cylinder body and spokes removes the volume of some areas,resulting in an 11.18%reduction in the overall weight of the drum.Finite element analysis of the new drum structure reveals that the maximum stress and deformation have increased,but the minimum safety coefficient is 1.79,which is within the requirements of the coal mine machinery standard and can meet the requirements for practical use.The new roller structure is applied to the belt conveyor,and after practical application,it achieves the expected effect and produces good economic benefits.
