Ultrasonic Low Frequency Vibration Assisted Drilling Test of Nickel-Based Superalloy
The use of ultrasonic drilling can effectively alleviate the axial force and improve the effect of hole chip repulsion. In order to improve the drilling quality of nickel-based superalloy,Inconel 718 nickel-based superalloy was taken as an example to carry out the ultrasonic low-frequency vibration assisted drilling test and complete the ultrasonic low-frequency vibration measurement system. The results of drilling test show that compared with ordinary drilling, the mean value of axial force and torque of ultrasonic low-frequency vibration drilling decreases by 10%~15%.Ultrasonic low frequency vibration drilling the original spiral chip into a lot of chip breaking, promote chip breaking and rapid discharge,to obtain a stable drilling effect. The research has good practical application value for improving the drilling quality of Inconel 718 nickel based superalloy plate.
