Research on Strength Analysis and Topology Optimisation of Central Trough of Scraper Conveyor in a Coal Mine
The central trough is an important structural component in the scraper conveyor of coal mine, and the strength analysis numerical model of the central trough was established by using SolidWorks and MSC software, and it was found that the stress distribution of the central trough was uneven, and the maximum stress was 301 MPa,which was lower than the permissible stress of the material of 380 MPa,and there was room for optimisation and improvement.Using MSC to optimise the topology of the central channel,it is found that the unit density of the baffle plate and bottom plate is relatively low, according to this result, the width of the baffle plate and the thickness of the bottom plate will be reduced by 15 mm and 5 mm,respectively.the numerical model is built according to the optimised structural dimensions, and the analysis shows that the maximum stress in the central channel is increased to 324 MPa,which is still lower than the permissible stress, and the strength can satisfy the requirements of the use.It is applied to the engineering practice of SGB420/22 scraper conveyor, and it is found that the expected effect is achieved through the on-site debugging in 6 months'time.
