In order to ensure good aerodynamic layout and flight stability of UAV,irregular surface is used for its shell surface, which is difficult to reverse modeling. There are some problems such as difficult to determine the positioning coordinate system, difficult to guarantee the quality of surface modeling, and uneven connection effect between surfaces. In this paper,3D scanner is used to collect the surface data of UAV shell and form STL model. The powerful surface modeling function of Siemens NX is applied to reverse modeling design of UAV shell STL model, and the 3D model file which can be edited and processed is obtained.Verify the accuracy of the reverse modeling by comparing the reverse results with the original standard model using the third-party detection software Geomagic Control. The results of Geomagic Control reverse modeling show that the design idea of surface reverse modeling described in this paper is basically correct, and it can provide a reproducible experience for reverse modeling of complex surface parts.
