Experimental Study of Limestone Curved Baffles Based on Discrete Element Modeling
The particle motion and crushing rate during the limestone transshipment process were investigated using the discrete element cell method. The physical model of limestone particles was established to analyze the effect of different transfer methods on crushing, and a comparative experiment between curved baffle and traditional linear baffle was designed. The results show that the curve baffle effectively reduces the crushing rate of limestone by optimizing the angle of incision and reducing the impact velocity, and the crushing rate is reduced by about 1.8~2.0 percentage points compared with that of the straight line baffle, with a view that this study provides a computational basis for the curve-optimized design of the limestone transfer equipment.
