Joint Control of Binary Combinations of Pyroxasulfone and Flumioxazin Against Weeds and Their Safety to Corn Crops
In order to evaluate the control efficacy of the combinations of pyroxasulfone and flumioxazin against weeds and their phytotoxicity,whole-plant dose response experiments were conducted to evaluate the joint effect of the combinations of pyroxasulfone and flumioxazin and their safety to corn crops using the potted cultivation method in greenhouse. The results showed that the binary combinations of pyroxasulfone and flumioxazin showed an additive effect against the weeds against Echinochloa crusgalli,Digitaria sanguinalis, and Chenopodium album, and the best additive effect appeared when the mass ratio of pyroxasulfone and flumioxazin was 1.25~20∶1.The higher selectivity index took place within the mass ratio 1~20∶1,suggesting that the herbicide combinations should be safe to corn crops.
