Synthesis and Characterization of Cu(Ⅱ)/Fe(Ⅲ)Complexes Based on a Flexible Sulfur-containing Polycarboxylates of Triazine
A flexible carboxylic acid ligand with three propionic acid groups,2,2',2"-[1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-tris(thio)]tripropionic acid(H3TTPA)was synthesized by reacting trimeric thiocyanate with 3-chloropropionic acid. Two complexes(Cu-TTPA and Fe-TTPA)were obtained through one-step precipitation method using H3TTPA with copper nitrate or iron nitrate, respectively. The structures of the ligand and the corresponding complexes were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and thermal analysis(TG).The stability and conductivity values of the two complexes in buffer solutions with different pH levels were measured. This provides an experimental basis for further research on complexes formed by the flexible triazine sulfur-containing polycarboxylate ligands.
