Synthesis and Crystal Structure Characterization of p-tert-Butylthiacalix[4]arene and Its Copper Complexes
Sulfur powder undergoes a reaction with p-tert-butylphenol in the presence of sodium hydroxide as a base catalyst under a temperature gradient, resulting in the formation of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene.The(1S,2S)-trans-diphenyl-1,2-diaminoethane and(1R,2R)-trans-diphenyl-1,2-diaminoethane undergo cyclization with carbon disulfide,yielding(4S,5S)-trans-diphenylimidazolidine-2-thione and(4R,5R)-trans-diphenylimidazolidine-2-thione,respectively.Then,two novel copper complexes were synthesized via a solvothermal method, followed by solvent evaporation and crystallization, with their single crystal structures characterized through X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis.
