Effect of Activated Carbon on the Bacterial Endotoxin Content of Dextran 40 API
To reduce the bacterial endotoxin content of Dextran 40 API,the adsorption of bacterial endotoxin in API by different types and amounts of activated carbon at different temperatures and time was investigated.The results showed that the optimal process conditions for reducing the bacterial endotoxin content of Dextran 40 API were using 2％of medicinal activated carbon,a heating temperature of 75～85 ℃ and a heating time of(30±5)min.
