Research on Fatigue Characteristics and Durability Evaluation of Municipal Asphalt Pavement
Based on the Chaboche damage evolution model, the trend of damage degree changes in the vertical and horizontal directions of as-phalt pavement structural layers under different load cycles was analyzed. The research results showed that under road load, the damage degree of the base and subbase showed a trend of lower damage degree values as they were further away from the bottom layer, and the closer they were to the bottom layer, the faster the damage degree increased; In the vertical direction, the damage degree of the same part of the subbase is much smaller than that of the base layer, but the damage range of the subbase layer is higher than that of the base layer; The closer the dis-tance between the damage degree of the base and sub base and the centerline of the two wheels, the greater the value of the damage degree, and the damage degree of the base and sub base shows a trend of symmetry with the centerline of the two wheels, continuously decreasing to-wards both sides; The damage degree at the bottom of the base layer increases with the increase of the number of load applications, and the rate of improvement of the damage degree at the bottom of the base layer and the bottom of the subbase layer also increases with the increase of load applications; There are both tensile and compressive stresses in the base layer, while only tensile stress exists in the subbase layer; The hori-zontal normal stress of the base and subbase layers shows a trend of increasing and then decreasing towards both sides, with the double wheel centerline as the axis of symmetry.
