Research on the Influence of Deep Foundation Pit Excavation and Precipitation on Surface Settlement
Accurately predicting surface settlement during deep excavation of foundation pits under the groundwater level in cities is crucial to ensuring construction safety.Deep excavation and dewatering are two coupling factors that cause settlement deformation. This study aims to reveal the coupled response of two factors and establish an empirical method for estimating surface deformation.Taking the foundation pit of a super high-rise building as an example, the surface settlement value was calculated using analytical and numerical methods. The calculation results of the analytical method under the coupling of excavation and precipitation were added to the total settlement, and a three-dimensional coupled numerical model was established.Compared with the monitoring data, the numerical simulation results are in good agreement with the monitoring data.In addition,an empirical equation for surface settlement was established through polynomial fitting to illustrate the contribution of foundation excavation and precipitation to the total surface settlement.
