Study on Undrained Shear Strength of Soils Based on CPTU
This article uses the CPTU probe to conduct undrained shear penetration model tests on clay in a certain area, and uses the CEL large deformation numerical simulation method to simulate the deformation process of soil layers at different depths caused by the penetration of the CPTU probe into the soil.Through analysis of the model test results and numerical simulation results,it was found that during the penetration test, when the soil is far from the CPTU probe, the horizontal displacement of the soil is small, and the affected range is about 3B.At the same depth of penetration of the CPTU probe,at a depth of 1Bbelow the CPTU probe, the soil will produce the largest deformation;during the penetration process of the CPTU probe, two different failure modes appeared in the numerical model in the early and late stages of CPTU probe penetration;using the method established in this article to calculate this articles model test found that this articles model test is the first failure mode.
