Influence of Saturation on Freeze-thaw Deterioration of Hydraulic Concrete
In order to explore the relationship between freeze-thaw deterioration of hydraulic concrete and concrete saturation, the freeze-thaw cycle test was carried out on concrete with different saturation, and the residual compressive strength value was tested. The results show that the residual compressive strength of specimens with saturation of 85%~91.7%at the end of freeze-thaw cycle is 89.49%,and the residual compressive strength of specimens with saturation of 91.7%~95%at the end of freeze-thaw cycle is 86.78%,indicating that the deterioration effect of compressive strength of specimens with saturation of 91.7%~95%is relatively weak. The concrete specimen with saturation of 100%gradually produces surface spalling, aggregate exposure and aggregate spalling after freeze-thaw cycle, and the appearance loss is serious. The concrete has a saturation critical value, and only the concrete less than the saturation critical value will maintain a good condition after the freeze-thaw cycle, and otherwise, serious surface damage will occur.
