Research on the Influence of PVA Fiber Content on the Compressive and Flexural Strength of Concrete
To study the mechanical properties of PVA fiber reinforced concrete foundation, domestic PVA fiber materials were used in this pa-per to prepare concrete specimens with different fiber contents, and compressive and flexural tests were conducted. The results showed that compared with ordinary concrete, the compressive and flexural strength of concrete with PVA fiber added at each age were significantly im-proved,and at a curing age of 28 days, the compressive and flexural strength of concrete with 1%PVA fiber content increased the most, which were 105.22%and 141.64%of ordinary concrete, respectively. With the increase of PVA fiber content, the growth rate of concrete strength slows down. The cost-effectiveness of PVA fiber is relatively low,and the concrete strength is most significantly enhanced when the dosage is 1%,with a better overall effect.
