Study on the Effect of Machine-made Sand Replacing River Sand on the Performance of High Performance Concrete
In order to explore the concrete performance characteristics of machine-made sand replacing natural river sand as fine aggregate, the influence of machine-made sand replacing river sand on the performance of high-performance concrete was studied from the aspects of chloride ion penetration resistance, drying shrinkage, strength and working performance. The results show that there is no significant difference between the chloride ion penetration resistance, compressive strength and working performance of the concrete with machine-made sand as fine aggre-gate and that with river sand concrete. When 5%stone powder is added to machine-made sand concrete, the chloride ion penetration resist-ance,compressive strength and workability of low-grade concrete are improved. The application of machine-made sand can improve the stabili-ty of concrete and reduce the drying shrinkage.
