Discussion on the Design of Single Cable Surface Curved Pedestrian Suspension Bridge
The single cable surface curved beam pedestrian suspension bridge is a novel and beautiful bridge type, and the spatial irregular curved structure is subjected to complex forces. The single-sided suspended curved beam bears eccentric moment and horizontal force.By ad-justing the center of gravity of the triangle truss beam and the height of the overhang points, the horizontal radial resistance of the upper and lower chords of the truss beam points out of the curve, achieving that the curved members are mainly subjected to axial tension and improving their stability. The finite element iterative calculation is used to correct the coordinates, and the tension forces of hangers, obtaining the bridge shape. The main cables on both sides of the inclined tower form a horizontal angle.By tensioning two back cables at the top of the tower to bal-ance the horizontal force, the overall stability of the tower is ensured.Combined with the design of a 300 m span single cable surface curved beam pedestrian suspension bridge, the finite element model calculation results show that the bearing capacity and deformation meet the re-quirements of the specifications, providing reference for the design of similar bridges.
