Seismic Performance Analysis of K-shaped Eccentrically Braced Frame
Eccentrically braced frame has excellent seismic performance, energy dissipation capacity and post-earthquake recovery capability. To further study the seismic performance of K-shaped eccentrically braced frame and visually analyze the deformation capacity and stress distri-bution under earthquake actions, based on the ABAQUS software,a numerical model of K-shaped eccentrically braced frame was established to investigate its deformation patterns and hysteresis behavior under small, moderate and large earthquake. The results show that the damage in K-shaped eccentrically braced frame is concentrated on the shear link, while other components remain undamagedduring seismic actions.A-nalysis of hysteresis and skeleton curves indicates that K-shaped eccentrically braced frame has significant energy dissipation capability and high load-bearing capacity. The maximum vertical deformation of the structure occurs at the connection between the beam out of link and shear link, and the end of the beam out of link experiencing the highest stress region, potentially leading to the failure of beam out of link.
