Stability Analysis and Evaluation of a High Fill Slope in Three Gorges Reservoir Area
In order to study the stability of the high fill slope, this paper takes the Hujiaping high fill slope in Zigui County,Yichang City,Hu-bei Province as an example, calculates the stability safety factor of the slope under natural conditions and rainstorm conditions by using the fi-nite element simulation method, and analyzes the stability of the slope in combination with relevant geological data such as field investigation and survey report. The results show that the slope is basically stable under natural conditions, but under rainstorm conditions, the stability co-efficient is 1.008 9;The maximum horizontal displacement of the slope is also significantly affected by rainfall, which is 6.5 cm under natural conditions and 12.1 cm under rainstorm conditions. The deformation of the slope is mainly concentrated in the filling part above the boundary of the soil layer in the middle and lower parts of the slope, mainly due to the compression and consolidation deformation of the underlying filling soil of the slope. Therefore, effective measures should be taken to reinforce the soil in the middle and lower parts of the slope to prevent disas-ters.In addition, the stability calculation results of high fill slopes using Midas GTS NX finite element software are in good agreement with the actual on-site conditions, which has reference significance for similar projects.
