Study on Early Strength Development and Shrinkage Deformation Behavior of Fly Ash Concrete
In order to give full play to the whole performance of fly ash concrete, the influence of different content of fly ash on the early strength development and shrinkage deformation performance of concrete was analyzed experimentally. The test results show that with the in-crease of fly ash content, the early strength of concrete decreases significantly, especially at the age of 3 and 7 days, the compressive strength decreases from 20.5 MPa and 28.4 MPa without fly ash to 14.8 MPa and 20.9 MPa with 30%fly ash content, respectively. The increase of fly ash content is helpful to reduce the shrinkage deformation of concrete. The shrinkage deformation without fly ash is 0.18mm at 28 days of age, while the shrinkage deformation of 30%fly ash is 0.128mm.In summary, fly ash can not only improve the strength of concrete in the lat-er stage and reduce the shrinkage deformation, but also reduce the early strength to a certain extent.
