Study on Mechanical Properties of Filling Materials for Coal Gasification Slag Clay Foundation
Compaction test, consolidation test and California load ratio test were used to study the mechanical properties of coal gasification slag and coal gasification slag clay composite as foundation fillers. The results show that the maximum dry density of pure coal gasification slag is 2.12 g/cm3 when the water content is 10.1%.When the penetration amount is 5 mm,the CBR value is 15.9,which can meet the strength re-quirements of subgrade fillers. With the increase of clay content, the optimum water content of the composite fillers decreases first and then in-creases,and the dry density increases first and then decreases. The highest dry density was found in the composite filler with a clay content of 30%,and the corresponding water content and dry density were 8.7%and 2.47 g/cm3,respectively.When the clay content is 40%,the bearing capacity of coal gasification slag clay composite foundation is the highest.Combined with the triaxial test results and CBR value, the mechanical properties of the composite foundation filler are the best when the clay content is 35%.
