Numerical Simulation Analysis on the Influence of Pile Pulling Construction on Existing Underground Gas Pipelines in Soft Soil Areas
In recent years, with the construction of rail transit, there has been an increasing number of projects to remove abandoned bridge pile foundations in shield tunneling sections, and the removal of old piles during construction can have a significant deformation impact on the surrounding environment. Therefore,it is necessary to effectively control and protect the pipelines within the affected area during pile pulling construction. The research object of this article is the proximity of underground gas pipelines during pile pulling construction.Based on the demolition and reconstruction of the pile foundation for the 2nd staircase of the Wantou Bridge in the civil engineering project of Ningbo Metro Line 7 TJ7022 section,a three-dimensional finite element model of the impact of steel sleeve pile pulling construction on urban underground pipelines in soft soil areas is established using the finite element software MIDAS GTS NX.The calculation results indicate that the impact of pile foundation extraction construction on adjacent underground gas pipelines is mainly manifested as vertical settlement. After excavating and replacing the soil above the pipeline with fine sand, the settlement and deformation of the pipeline in each construction step have decreased, with a maximum vertical settlement reduction of about 19%compared to the non replacement condition, and the effect of reducing deformation is more obvious. The calculation results can provide reference significance for the protection of adjacent pipelines during pile pulling construc-tion in soft soil areas.
