The application of digital technology has brought new opportunities for farmers'entrepreneurial ac-tivities,which is important for helping rural revitalization and realizing agricultural and rural modernization.Using panel data from 31 provincial-level administrative regions in China from 2011-2022,this paper empirically analy-ses the impact of digital technology applications on farmers'entrepreneurial activity degree and its mechanism of action,and further examines the heterogeneous impact of digital technology on farmers'entrepreneurial activity de-gree in different geographical locations.The study finds that:firstly,overall,digital technology applications can sig-nificantly contribute to farmers'entrepreneurial activity through different forms.Secondly,the test of the effect mechanism of digital technology application on farmers'entrepreneurial activity finds that at the national level,the level of human capital has a positive moderating effect on the application of digital technology and farmers'entre-preneurial activity.Thirdly,there is regional heterogeneity in the effect of digital technology applications on farmers'entrepreneurial activity,with the effect of digital technology applications on farmers'entrepreneurial activity being more significant in the eastern regions than in the central and western regions.
