The important significance and value of in-depth research on modern Japan's investigation and research in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River
The major project of the National Social Science Foundation in 2022,"The collation and research of Japanese survey data in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River(1895-1945)",takes the collation,application and his-torical value of Japanese survey data in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River during 1895-1945 as the re-search objects.Besides,according to the characteristics and types of Japanese survey agencies,five research organizations representing the Japanese government,military,foreign affairs,special societies and civil society-Consulate of Japan in Chi-na,Military Intelligence Agency,East Asia Development Board,Manchu Railway,and the East Asia Common Culture Asso-ciation,were selected to design five sub-topics for research.The project not only focuses on the theoretical research,but also pays attention to the theory guiding practice.On the basis of adhering to historical materialism,it's significant to educate and guide the broad masses to correctly understand the history of Japan's aggression against China and the history of Sino-Japanese relations,remember historical lessons,cherish world peace,and establish a correct view of history.
