Research on the deeds of Zeng Gong's grandson Zeng Da who surrendered to the Jin Dynasty
Zeng Da is the third son of Zeng Wan,the eldest son of Zeng Gong,During the Song Dynasty,he served as the Governor of Yuhang in Hangzhou.In the third year of Jianyan,he surrendered in the face of the Jin invasion and abandoned the city.Due to this influence,there has been a lack of attention to his life story,historical records from the past,and cur-rent research,resulting in a vague understanding of Zeng Da's life and his act of surrendering to the Jin dynasty army.In view of this,this article intends to combine official history,epitaphs,genealogies,local chronicles,and other literature to ex-plore Zeng Da's personal and family situation,the history and influence of Zeng Da's downfall of the Jin dynasty army,as well as Zeng Da and his experiences after the downfall of the Jin dynasty army.The aim is to fill the gap in the study of the Zeng family and gain some useful experiences and lessons from the events of Zeng Da's downfall of the Jin dynasty.
