Spatial-temporal Pattern of Urbaneconomic Development based on Nighttime Light Data——A case study of Chongqing
Based on the NPP/VIIRS nighttime light data with a resolution of 500 meters,this study explores the spatial and temporal dynamic characteristics of economic development in Chongqing from 2013 to 2021.Research methods such as the center of gravity transfer,standard deviation el-lipse,coefficient of variation,and spatial auto-correlation analysis are used to analyze the direction of economic development,internal differences,and development characteristics of Chongqing.The results show that:1)During the study period,the economic center of gravity of Chongqing city is gradually moved slowly to the northeast,the area of the standard deviation ellipse is increased,and the economic development area is expanded.2)The coefficient of variation shows a trend of decrea-sing volatility,the relative differences in the level of economic development among counties and dis-tricts in Chongqing have been reduced,and the situation of uneven economic development has been alleviated.3)From 2013 to 2021,there is the number of high-high agglomeration type areas first decreased and then increased,but the type areas are stable and clusteredon the whole,mainly con-centrated in developed counties such as the main city metropolitan area of Chongqing,while low-low agglomeration type areas are mainly distributed in relatively poor areas in northeast and southeast Chongqing.
