Topographic Effect Analysis of a Pre-frontal Precipitation Process in Jiujiang
Based on the data from ground automatic stations, reanalysis data and data from S-band dual-polarization radars, the present study analyzed a pre-frontal precipitation on April 24 to 25,2022 in Jiujiang,Jiangxi province. The results show that:1)When the whole prefrontal layer is in the southwest wind,a northeast-southwest topographic channel will be formed in the Poyang Lake basin on the east side of Lushan, which is easy to trigger local convection, resulting in precipitation in the lower reaches before the upper reaches.2)In the warm frontal area of this process, the topo-graphic channel on the east side of Lushan can enhance the precipitation by promoting the enhance-ment of turbulence and accelerating the growth of raindrop condensation.3)The Mufu Mountains had a weak enhancement effect on the windward slope of the cold front precipitation, and a weake-ning effect on the mountaintop and lee slope.
