Research Hotspot and Trend Analysis of Muntiacus Crinifrons based on Bibliometric Analysis
Muntiacus crinifrons,a species endemic to mountainous forests in China, has seen a de-cline in wild populations in recent years due to habitat fragmentation and human disturbance. In or-der to systematically study the current status of Muntiacus crinifrons,CiteSpace software was used to analyze the literature on Muntiacus crinifrons in WOS and CNKI databases from 1960 to 2022,in order to provide reference for the future research direction of indicator species and endemic species in other ecosystems. The research found that the number of literature on black muntjac showed a fluctuating growth trend, mainly around the four provinces of Zhejiang,Anhui,Jiangxi, and Fujian.Combining internal micro-analysis and field macro-investigation techniques, the formation of popu-lation density, activity rhythm, species evolution, five major research fields focusing on genetic di-versity and distribution, diverse research themes focusing on physiological phenomena, muntjac pop-ulation evolution, habitat and habit survey,a scientific research team centered on domestic scholars and a solid core group of authors, but there are still there are communication barriers between major scientific research institutions.
