Analysis of Spatiotemporal Distribution and Echo Characteristics of Short-term Heavy Precipitation in Wuning of Jiangxi Province
In order to better monitor and warn the occurrence of rainstorm or heavy rainstorm,the monitoring and warning of short-term heavy rainfall is very important.Using meteorological elements in literature,MICAPS weather data,radar mosaic data,and conventional analysis methods,this pa-per analyzes a case of short-time heavy precipitation in Wuning County from 2012 to 2021.The re-sults show that:1)There were 19 short-time heavy precipitation cases in Wuning County National Station,and 611 short-time heavy precipitation cases in regional stations(53),with the maximum being 90.4 mm/h in the area of Chuantan Town,and the maximum value exceeding 70 mm/h in 10 regional stations.2)The instantaneous wind speed of surface meteorological elements is generally relatively stable,with little change,and the wind speed does not exceed 10 m/s;The precipitation has a sudden change characteristic,sometimes accompanied by two precipitation peaks;The temper-ature does not change much and is relatively stable;The relative humidity is relatively high,main-taining a high level of over 90%before and after precipitation;Resulting in relatively stable water vapor pressure operation;The atmospheric pressure amplitude at this station is relatively large,and short-term heavy precipitation occurs when the atmospheric pressure at this station is low.3)The short-term heavy precipitation at Wuning County National Station is often caused by the short band echo in the large-scale mixed precipitation echo.When the direction of the short band echo tends to be consistent with the movement direction of the echo system,it just passes Wuning County National Station,forming a"train effect"to generate short-term heavy rainfall.The short-time heavy rainfall at the regional station in Wuning County is mostly caused by echo monomer.The evolution of echo cells is also diverse,sometimes isolated,sometimes in groups of three to five,and sometimes ar-ranged into discontinuous(non contiguous)short bands.There are two echo conceptual models for short-term heavy rainfall in Wuning County:one is the short band echo that appears in a large floc-culent echo cluster(zone),and the other is the convective echo cell,which sometimes exists in iso-lation,and sometimes several echo cells exist at the same time,affecting each other.The above re-search results provide an analysis basis for short-term heavy precipitation monitoring and early warn-ing in Wuning County.
