Comparison of Teaching Concepts between Teachers and Students in Environmental Science and Engineering Disciplines in Local Universities in Western China
Based on the excellent achievements of domestic and foreign universities and the Iceberg Theory Model,combined with the results of questionnaire survey,this paper used the analytic hier-archy process to generate the teaching ability evaluation system of college teachers foranalyzing the current teaching concept of teachers and students in the field of environmental science and engineer-ing in local universities,which was determined by the scores of teachers and studentsin the depart-ment of environmental science and engineering in a university in western China.Based on the differ-ent weight allocation of teachers and students in the teaching evaluation system,a comparative study was conducted on the teaching concept of the teachers and students in this department.It was found that students paid more attention to teachers'basic teaching qualities,while teachers focused more attention to basic teaching skills.In addition,strategies and suggestions were proposed to achieve compatibility of teaching concepts between teachers and students,in order to lay a foundation for the improvement of teaching quality in the department.
